Here at 6S we've been busy all summer moving our cattle onto fresh salad bars of grass every day! Not even kidding ... every. single. day. Why?

Moving our mowing machines across the landscape means that we have some of the most fertile, mineral rich soils in the valley, it also means we've got THE best lifetime grazed beef to be had in the North! Grass finishing an animal is both an art and a scienc - it doesn't just happen. Our beef herd has been eating fresh every single day and that health and flavour is not even comparable to confinement grocery store beef. There is a world of difference in what we're doing here at 6S and what you'll find in the aisles of your local grocery store, if you'd like to know more just give me a shout cause I'd be happy to talk to you all day long about the difference between a lifetime-grazed animal and a feedlot raised animal. But I digress ... back to the Fall Beef Harvest ...
THIS dear friends is where you come in ... those beautiful grass finished animals are a foodie's dream and because it makes sense to harvest these animals while they are at peak levels of nutrition and tenderness we are offering you the opportunity to follow nature's template as well and fill your freezer with a side of delicious, nutritious lifetime grazed 6S beef!
Why might you want to buy a full side or split side of beef you ask? Another excellent question! (I love our customers ... they're so astute!) :)
#1. Pure convenience! Having a Whole, 1/2 or 1/4 beef bundle in the freezer means you never have to wonder what's for dinner!
#2. Purchasing a side of beef means you can get it custom cut just the way you like it (with ideal portion sizes for your family). Never had a 'custom cut' before? No worries, we're happy to walk you through the whole process start to finish!
#3. Get the most value for your money. When you buy a side of beef at $6.00/lb hanging weight that's the price of ALL your cuts! From ground beef to tenderloins!
#4. Ensure your supply. Who knows what the future will hold, whether or not we see a 'second-wave' you can feel good knowing you've got things covered for months to come.

Alright, stop yapping Joy and get to the details already! Gotcha! Here we go:
Each side is approximately 350lbs (this is variable as no two animals are alike).
The cost is $6.00/lb plus the cutting & wrapping fees which makes your cost approximately $2500.00 for a 1/2 or $1250.00n for a 1/4.
We will be harvesting in September, October and November with limited numbers for each harvest date so be sure to let us know when you would prefer to have your side and we'll do our best to accommodate. If you're thinking September please let us know ASAP as our dry aged beef hangs for 21-28 days until it's reached perfection. This is not an overnight turnaround but that's okay because great things take some time!
